FAQS

What ages do you serve?

We provide virtual speech therapy, evaluations, and parent support services for children and teens ages 3 to 18.

How are therapy sessions delivered?

All sessions are provided virtually using secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms. Your child can attend sessions from the comfort of your home, homeschool space, or wherever you are.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

At this time, all services through Bloom Therapy Resources are offered virtually only to provide flexibility and accessibility for families across Colorado, California, and Texas.

What services do you provide?

We offer:

  • Monthly subscription therapy sessions (4, 6, or 8 sessions per month)

  • Comprehensive speech-language evaluations

  • Parent coaching and IEP advocacy consultations

  • Customized home programs for speech and language growth

  • Resources through The SLP Advocate platform and podcast

How does the subscription model work?

Families choose a monthly plan (4, 6, or 8 sessions/month) and can schedule sessions flexibly up to 2 per week.
Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be adjusted or canceled at any time with notice before the next billing cycle.

Can I use my insurance for services?

No, Bloom Therapy Resources does not bill insurance directly.
We are a private-pay practice.
However, upon request, we can provide a detailed invoice ("superbill") that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

Why don’t you accept insurance?

By operating outside of insurance networks, we can:

  • Provide individualized therapy based on your child’s true needs (not insurance restrictions)

  • Spend more time directly with clients and families

  • Offer flexible scheduling, session pacing, and subscription models without limitations

  • Protect client privacy without needing to share private clinical information with insurance companies

Do you require an evaluation before starting therapy?

If your child has a recent comprehensive speech-language evaluation (completed within the past 12 months), we may be able to use it to begin therapy.
Otherwise, a virtual evaluation will be scheduled before starting services to ensure we have a full understanding of your child’s communication needs.

Can you help with IEPs and school advocacy?

Yes! Through The SLP Advocate, we offer:

  • IEP reviews

  • Goal development consultations

  • Advocacy coaching sessions for parents preparing for school meetings

We believe in equipping parents to confidently advocate for their children’s educational needs.

How do I get started?

DO YOU INVOLVE PARENTS IN THE TREATMENT PROCESS?

Yes. Parents are a very important part of treatment at Bloom Therapy Resources. Parents are invited into the treatment session to observe therapy, and parent education is an integral part of every therapy session. Each session is designed to allow time for the parent and therapist to discuss progress and what was done during the therapy session. Home programs are provided to the parent to increase carryover in all settings and help the child be more successful in reaching their goals.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE A COPY OF YOUR PRIVACY PRACTICES?

You can obtain a paper copy of my privacy practices by request from your therapist or you can download our Notice of Privacy Practices here.
