Time Commitment: Up to 5 hours total (testing, scoring, analysis, report writing, and parent consultation) Description: This is a full, independent speech-language evaluation designed to understand your child’s unique communication strengths and needs. The evaluation includes standardized assessments, informal measures (such as language sampling or observation tasks), professional recommendations, and a comprehensive written report suitable for school or private use. Evaluations are conducted entirely virtually using secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing and digital testing platforms. 🖥️ How the Virtual Evaluation Process Works: Step 1: Parent Consultation & Planning (30 minutes) We begin with a virtual parent interview to review your concerns, your child’s developmental history, and any important background information. 👉 This helps me tailor the assessment to your child’s needs. Step 2: Testing Sessions (2–3 sessions of 30–45 minutes each) Rather than conducting testing all at once, we break the assessment into shorter, child-friendly sessions over 2–3 separate appointments. 👉 Each session will focus on different areas (speech sounds, language understanding, expressive skills, social communication, etc.). 👉 Your child will be tested using screen-shared materials, verbal responses, interactive tasks, and digital tools depending on their age and abilities. Step 3: Scoring, Analysis & Report Writing (Completed by Therapist) After testing, I score all assessments, analyze patterns of strengths and challenges, and develop professional recommendations based on the data gathered. Step 4: Results Review Meeting (30 minutes) Once the report is completed, we schedule a final virtual consultation to walk through the results together, answer your questions, and discuss next steps for therapy, school supports, or home carryover. Important Notes for Parents: Please ensure your child is seated comfortably at a desk or table with minimal distractions for each session. A caregiver may be present nearby if needed for technical support but will not participate directly unless requested. All necessary materials, consent forms, and pre-assessment questionnaires will be sent after booking.
